In order to provide quality teaching-learning activities in rural areas of Meham tehsil of Rohtak district, Sakshi Malik Govt. College for Girls, Mokhra is located in Pana Shyam of Mokhra Khas,  Meham Tehsil in Rohtak District of Haryana State, India. It belongs to Rohtak Division. It is located 21 KM towards west from District head quarters Rohtak. 21 KM from Meham. Its is 247 KM from State capital Chandigarh.

In order to provide quality teaching-learning activities in rural areas of Meham tehsil, in 2014 Govt. decided to establish 03 new college to promote girl child education in rural areas. Govt. College Mokhra (later as Sakshi Malik Govt. College for Girls, Mokhra) is located in one of the largest villages of Haryana i.e. Mokhra. It comprises more than 8 acres of land at its disposal. It has modern building with well stuffed infrastructure. 

Recently, in the year 2024, status as per the letter of Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Haryana bearing Memo No. DHE-07/6/2023-College-6-DHE date 15.03.2024  now the status of college is changed as co- education college and its name has been changed from Sakshi Malik Govt. College for Girls, Mokhra (Rohtak) to Sakshi Malik Govt. College, Mokhra (Rohtak).
